Hi, we’re the Momentary. A decommissioned cheese factory turned contemporary art space for visual and performing arts, culinary experiences, festivals, artists-in-residence, and more.
Located in downtown Bentonville, Arkansas, satellite to Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the Momentary is the perfect hang-out. From exploring the galleries and outdoor artworks, to catching a performance, to enjoying a savory bite or refreshing drink, there’s something for everyone to discover. General admission is free.

Hours
The Momentary lobby and galleries are open Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday, 10am to 6pm, Friday, and Saturday, 10am to 8pm. The Momentary is closed on Mondays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
The Momentary Green is open daily. Tavares Strachan’s You Belong Here is illuminated nightly, starting at dusk.

Entrance & Parking
The main entrance is located at the south side of the building, just beyond the Arvest Bank Courtyard, closest to the main parking lot. Complimentary parking is located in our main parking lot off E St., just south of our building. Additional free parking is available in our garage, accessible via 8th St. Parking is subject to an additional cost during events.
Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) pick-up and drop-off location can be found along E Street.

Some Dos and Don’ts to help make visiting the Momentary as enjoyable as possible for all.
Conduct
The Momentary is committed to the principles of welcoming, sharing, and respect for all. We reserve the right to refuse admission to or eject any person whose conduct deems to be disorderly or abusive or who fails to comply with these or other rules at the Momentary.
Keep Your Distance From The Art
We’re generally cool here, but if we had to have one rule, it is this: please do not touch works of art or frames as any contact can damage a painting or sculpture. These pieces are going to last longer than any of us – let’s please try to keep them intact for the next generation.
Food & Drink
No outside food and drinks, please. Beverages purchased on-site with lids intact are allowed in the galleries. Picnicking is encouraged on the Momentary Green, but please do not bring coolers. Outside alcohol is not permitted.
Pets
Leashed pets are welcome on the Momentary Green and outdoor gathering areas, but are NOT allowed inside the building.
Smoking
The Momentary campus is tobacco-free – please do not smoke!
Weapons
No weapons are permitted on the grounds or inside our spaces.
Wi-Fi
Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in all indoor public spaces so you can upload your Insta pics even faster.
Photography
Take all the pics you want for your own personal use, but protect the art at all costs – please don’t use tripods, drones, monopods, or flash. Permits are required for professional portrait photography or video inside the Momentary.
Promotional Photography Notice/Implied Consent
Visiting the Momentary or participating in our programs constitutes an agreement by the guest or participant and/or the parent or guardian to allow us to photograph or film guests or program participants, without compensation, for possible use in publicity.
Wheeled Recreational Devices
Enjoy your ride, but stunts, tricks, and racing are not allowed on the Momentary site. Roller skates/rollerblades must be removed before coming inside the building. Skateboards must be carried or left outside as well.
The Momentary is committed to making the galleries and grounds accessible for all visitors. Please note that our efforts to make our website, programs, and spaces more accessible are ongoing. A number of on-site accommodations are offered for guests with disabilities in order to assure an enjoyable and engaging experience. Below is a list of amenities available.
Mobility
All interior spaces of the Momentary are fully wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair and family-accessible restrooms and elevators are located throughout the museum. Personal wheelchairs, canes with rubber tips, and motorized mobility devices are also permitted in the Momentary. A limited number of wheelchairs and walkers are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, at no cost. These items can be requested from Box Office staff in the Lobby.
Lighting
When there are exhibitions featuring artworks with flashing lights, signage notifying visitors of where these lights are located will be available.
Assistive Listening Device
Assistive Listening Devices are available on a first-come, first-served basis for those participating events in the Fermentation Hall and the RØDE house.
Sign Language Interpretation
Sign Language interpretation is available for all programs and tours and is offered upon request with advanced notice based on availability.
Enchroma Glasses For Colorblindness
EnChroma colorblind glasses are available for guests who are colorblind to use at no cost during their visit. The Momentary can provide glasses for indoor and outdoor viewing in adult and youth sizes, and there are also fit-over glasses available for guests who wear regular glasses. These glasses are available for check-out from the Box Office staff in the Lobby. To check-out, please present a form of ID to leave at the Lobby desk while you use the glasses during your visit.
Service Animals
Service animals are welcome at the Momentary. The Momentary abides by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and allows service animals, that is, animals trained to do work or perform specific tasks for the benefit of an individual with disabilities, into all the public areas of the space. The ADA does not currently recognize emotional support animals, therefore emotional support animals and all other animals not specifically covered in the American with Disabilities Act will not be permitted within the Momentary. Other leashed pets must remain outside the building, which includes the Momentary Green.
